Which TB is better?

Which in your opinion and knowledge do you think is a better Throttle Body? The Modern Muscle or the Vmax Throttle Body?

I don't know from any stats but I wouldn't imagine there is much difference, they aren't making the TB's, just boring out the intake to widen it......unless your looking at a larger TB it should be the same just about

I believe that Pete's long-standing history in the business speaks for himself. Having worked for some of the best manufacturers out there and having worked himself personally on innovative designs. I go with knowledge, experience, and customer service over anything.. With that said, the VMax TB is a real nice option, with proof behind it.

Here are just a few reviews from our clientele:
  1. Awesome product and outstanding customer service

Great upgrade and great quality. Matt and FSP was great
  2. Better than it seems

I was a bit skeptical about this since there seems to be so little surface area that would affect air flow. But I'm glad I purchased this. Almost immediately I could feel how smooth acceleration had become, and the hesitation was gone. Definitely a must-have for your LFX!
  3. solid upgrade

works great for the lower rpm's mostly under 3k rpm, noticeable difference , seems like the engine works less to get up to speed, there's not a huge huge difference, but then again I wasn't looking for one

I most likely will go with the vmax simply because of its rep. I was just curious.

the modern muscle TB claims a little more gains than the others buttttt there are like 3 people who have it...

tbh, I feel like it doesnt matter which one you get. as long as the company is reputable and have proven gains, they are almost the exact same thing.

Would you need a tune after a ported TB install?

I have not seen any real data on the Modern Muscle TB but like Matt said, the VMAX unit is a proven performer. There is actually a lot of science and R&D work in it that they have developed over the years.

I don't think it really matters either way. I have the Modern Muscle one and am pleased with it. The VMax TB is still a great product, and a very popular choice as well, but for parts like this, they don't really offer big gains, so either one you go w/ should be fine.

I am still lovin' my VMax. Just be warned it is harder to keep your foot from getting too heavy after it's installed.

The ported throttle body for the v6 isn't really about the added power. It's about improving throttle response
