Wouldn't surprise me if today/tonight Castro posts 3 workouts, asks the community to vote on which one to do, then at the announcement says "all that voted you're in luck....we're going to do all 3 of them".

a friend of mine suggested that our votes will only set the order of the three.

HAHA that would make sense too! With of course the least favorite of the 3 being the last one done

Well we will see how it goes. She did this one back in Sept and got 84 reps. But back then she was just 1 month removed from recovering from her achilles surgery and about 20lbs heavier.

Also recently she acquired some Bear Claws and she said this makes a huge difference in pullups. So hoping for at least 100 reps.

She managed 116 reps which was good. Normally she would go again today but her shoulder has been bothering her since last weeks workout and redo. I told her to shut it down.....improving still won't qualify her for regionals so she's taking the week off.

New to the board, bought a new 17 RS. I'm a powerlifter, have done a few pro meets and many push pulls. Not into crossfit but I see that's mostly whats on here. Anyone into bodybuilding or powerlifting?

No if you would have read through the thread you would see it's mostly people geared toward powerlifting. Crossfit is just primarily being discussed now because it's the time of the year for the Open and my wife is working toward making it to the games (although really she's a powerlifter just doing CF )

I am a has been....I haven't lifted in a meet since 2006 but still train heavy. Got tired of the back biting on the internet, the politics, and everyone and their grandmother starting an "organization" and everyone being a "world champ and record holder". hrpiii still lifts and I think still competes some. But (not to speak for him) I believe at this point both being in our 40's we enjoy coaching and passing it along.

And as of now both of us are hurt. hrpiii has a bicep tear that needs surgery and I have a torn pec that needs surgery.

I was suppose to fly to Utah yesterday for surgery, but at 11pm on Friday night the surgeon emailed me and said "after watching my videos he no longer felt comfortable doing my surgery" We spoke on the phone on Monday...I told him about how much weight I lifted and I hoped to get back to 80%. He said he thought my expectations were low and he saw no reason I couldn't get back to 95% after a year.

We conversed via email back and forth and I sent him some vids of me lifting. Well I guess he didn't get around to it until Friday night and I guess he thought I was b'sing when I told him how much I lift (really it's not a ton but more than most).

^ what he said.. I train more powerlifters now and train with them. I don't compete anymore, I destroyed the people in the Masters classes. But my life is still in the gym having fun and sharing knowledge on many levels.

Good to see there's a good powerlifting base! I'm 41yo and compete usually compete in the 220 class. My best lifts are 515/440/700. Have bad jumpers knee from years of basketball so I hardly train my squat. Well at my age I'm nursing some kind of injury at all times

Hah so me, you, and hrpiii are all in the same "league".

Think hrpiii is in his 40's and I am 45. When I competed I was in the 198lb class. Now I'd be 220

Best comp lifts (at 198) 600 (single ply), 501 (double ply), and my sorry ass DL 501 (raw). Raw lifts 455 (capable of more I just don't-worried about blowing a tendon in my knees), 425, and 501.

Funny I've always thought I'd get hurt squatting of DL'ing. Never in a million years thought I get injured benching.

Those are good numbers! I thought the same thing and my bench was always weak so I benched more, now I have arthritis is both of my shoulders and have to have the clavicle recession surgery because of the bad pain benching anything over 365 now
