Foglight HID's on zl1
Bought 50W here and color
matches but like OP said, output is not there. Definitely looks bright .... Haha I think the issue has you may have read is the housing and the way it reflects the light. Some of modified the housing and made these work. The drL are 11W and you can clearly see how bright those are. Pictures are DRL & Fog. I have the harness. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Just to update this thread a little bit. I decided to try the Hoen Xenonmatch bulbs listed here:
http://www.hoen-usa.com/fog.htm They looked a little brighter than the LED's but didn't match the stock headlights as well as the LED's did. So I bought the 80watt 5k bulbs from gen5diy for the fogs from here: http://www.gen5diy.com/Lighting/Ligh...-80-watt-5000k Matches almost perfectly, but light output still blows. When in the car I can't even tell the difference when the fogs are on or off. So, I just bought the DDM 35watt HID kit. I will report back after I get that set up and see how it works. Here is the link: http://www.ddmtuning.com/Products/DD...ast-35W-or-55W |

OK for anyone left that cares I put the DDM kit on today and I have to say... it looks AMAZING. Matches perfectly and has a GREAT amount of light output.
The kit is pretty nice quality for the price you pay. I have no complaints. Here is a video showing output of the fogs with the headlights on: and a few pictures: |

I hope you are not running 55 watt HIDs in your fog lights
They will generate considerably more heat than any other option and will most likely damage your housings Nick C.

i went for 5k 10 watt offroad leds and fitted them in the lower projector fogs and i modified the stock drl housing and fitted a projetor in them and this is the outcome
the output has improved dramatically and the beam extends much longer than the stock fogs plus they look good imo and i'm really glad that i went this way instead of HID's cause this leds are waterproof and has more lifespan than the hid's .

Here is exactly what I ordered. Going on 3 months now still running strong. Very simple install and they absolutely DESTROY LED as far as light output goes. On a 2 hour drive I felt the housing and it was BARELY warm. HID's are the way to go if you want it to match AND have actual usable light output.

We offer a plug and play H11 LED replacement that produces 1,420 lumens (plenty of output).
We currently offer them in 6000K, but will have them 4300K and 5000K in the near future. Feel free to send us a PM if you would like more information or the free-shipping code Nick C.

Not a bad option but still over 3 times the cost. I'd like to see these compared to the HID's. |
