Spring Special Edition
What does everyone think of the Spring Special Edition? Have you seen them on the road?

I'll be the only one. I like it. It's basically how I ordered my car cept for two stripes instead of one. Didn't know what they were going to be when I got mine. Haven't seen one though.

From the pics I've seen, I think they look darned good. Would not hesitate to buy one if I were in the market.

I saw a SS vert spring edition today and it looked gorgeous. Very pricey though, it was $51K and didn't even have NPP exhaust.

I've seen the Spring Edition coupe and I really like it. I'm sure the vert will be just as nice.

There are several members here with SSE both coupe and vert. Was at my dealership Saturday and they had one in the showroom at $51K and said they weren't getting much interest. Low ball offer?

I'm going to be the "Donnie Downer" here. Just not a fan of the colored Vert tops, not even on the "Nieman Marcus" addition years ago. Coupe may be OK. Honestly, I had to look up all the "special" add on's.
On a side note, I priced out my convertible with a new one, and if I had to repurchase a 2014 over a 2011 with all my options, It would cost me another $10K- Think I'll keep mine, and keep on modding |

Like any of the major packages (1LE for example), the SSE factory package is a bargain compared to 'build it yourself' with identical components. Just look at the retail price of the 21" wheel/tire package. It also has some cool aero add-ons that I had forgotten about. I like the SW painted rear bumper and diffuser vs the black plastic one on my car. And the factory gills are very well done, thin and subtle unlike el cheapo vinyl strips (I put on my car). I considered SSE carefully before I factory ordered in Feb and decided to brew my own mostly because I preferred black/charcoal gray top and dual Indy stripes on Summit White to dark blue single stripe that stops at the hood vent and rear deck. But the MSRP on my 2SS/RS vert was $47,770 so, it's not hard to push $50K optioned out. Of course, I did get NPP.

Anybody know the production figures for the spring edition model I know they were not limited but wondering if many are out there or if they will have some rarity?

I love the new Spring Edition, wondering on the build numbers myself.
Here's one of my friends after we lowered it and did a cat back.
