I guess I have had a different experience than most people. I've been forced to drive my 1LE in rain/light snow - anywhere from -5 to 50 degrees the last few weeks as a DD and it has been perfectly fine. Especially compared to my 69 Skylark, 02 Vette, 10' Vette, 14' AMG, 99 Camaro, 08 SRT8, 07 CTSV.... etc that all had summer tires on them. I'm in sales so that includes a variety of driving conditions. Maybe I'm just used to DDing a performance car in crappy weather all these years.

Thats a bit exagerrated. You can drive the car in inclement weather if you use your head and drive accordingly.

That’s a little ridiculous. I was just stating this car is completely capable of driving in inclement weather. If anything it’s better than previous sports cars because the safety features and driver aids just keep getting better and more advanced over the years. You just have to be smart and know its limits in different weather. If anything I’m more worried about other people’s driving than mine or the Camaro.

Hey I am a big fan of allowing someone to Darwin themselves, but on public roads, going for the Darwin award is endangering others. And sadly it always seems to be the innocent victims that pay the ultimate price for another persons negligence( whenever there is a DUI accident, the drunk person always seems to survive, but kills the people that they hit).

The supercar 3's on the 1LE are fantastic in dry weather, ok in wet. In heavy downpoor, get off the highway imediately, they suck hard at highway speeds in the rain.

I could imagine.
With only 7/32" of tread brand new, and 285 front and 305 rear tires you are bound to find the hydroplane earlier than some other combinations.

The stock ZL1 GY tires stink at 40mph in light rain. No way in hell I would drive my car on the highway with these tires in a Florida summer downpour. I can’t imagine how bad the 1LE tires must be in the rain.

MPSS or MPS4s are going on my car when the time comes... probably before the June rains come.
