Maybe... but maybe Tom Brady will STILL be the best quarterback in the league in five years. It could happen....

Derek is very good and I was hoping the Bucs would draft him.

But Jameis is the Real Deal.

Here are the Records he has already set;

NFL records
Most passing touchdowns in a single game by a rookie quarterback: 5 (tied with Ray Buivid and Matthew Stafford)[31]
Most passing touchdowns, rookie, one half: 4 (tied with Marcus Mariota) Nov 22, 2015[32]
Youngest player, 3000 yards passing: (21 years, 342 days) Dec 13, 2015[33]
Youngest player, 4000 yards passing: (21 years, 362 days) Jan 3, 2016
Youngest player to pass for 40 touchdowns: (22 years, 312 days) Nov 13, 2016[34]
Most seasons of passing for 4000 yards to begin a career - 2 (2015-present)
Your stats don't really mean anything. Let's compare the first 2 years of both.

Winston 40 TD's
Carr 53 TD's

Winston 33 Int's 2 years
Carr 31 int's in 3 years

Winston 8132 yards
Carr 7257 yards

And these are stats with Carr on one of the worst teams in the league his first rookie year.

4th quarter comebacks
Winston 3 (2 years)
Carr 12 (3 years)

If you think Winston is the real deal then Carr is the Real, Real Deal.

I'd bet you ask 10 NFL fans (non Bucs & Raiders fans) who they would rather have Carr or Winston 9 out of those 10 will say Carr.

I doubt it, he's done in 1 or 2.

Things are looking up for the Bucs, let's not oversell them. Remember Joe Flacco? He won the Super Bowl with a couple of great years and now, meh. Don't hear many people raving about him and he got the job done in spectacular fashion. Hopefully James will keep it going, he does look very promising.

Jeff George. Most likely the most gifted Passer ever. Nobody could throw like Jeff. Dan Marino is beside him. Marino's release is still the best there ever was. Check out Jeff's throw at 1:02. SICK ... Almost unbelievable. Who could make that throw today? Maybe Rodgers, maybe.

Matt Stafford does that and more every week, literally every week.

I did say maybe, haha, you are probably right. I'll say as long as Brady is in the league, HE WILL BE NUMBER ONE. We shall see...

It's official, G.O.A.T. is now determined by how hard they can throw the ball

You really don't have to sell me on Derek (he's a 2nd Cousin of mine), but I just think Jameis has a bigger upside. We just need to get him more people to throw to, that's an advantage Derek has.

Thanks for clearing that up. Finally a diffinitive test for who is the GOAT?

Envelope please........ the winner is, even though he has never won a playoff game, he's 0fer three, has a sub .500 accumulative regular season record, the man that makes Jeff George's velocity look like that of a teenage girl,
Matt Stafford! Shades of the Oscars!!Haha

Got proof ? Video proof ? Stafford is nothing! Comparing Stafford to Jeff George is like comparing a 4th Gen Camaro SS to the Aventador. Go back up and watch the Video I posted. Jeff's throws look almost like a nintendo game. Looks almost unreal to believe. The release, the ability to throw 40+ yards still dropping backwards, his ease of motion. No QB could throw a football farther with such velocity while dropping back than JG. He was simply the best there ever was. Phenom passer. Once in a 100 years passer. Nobody was more gifter as a passer but Marino comes close.
