Oil change and filter
I had my engine oil changed at the dealer last night. It was taking for ever so I went back to see what was wrong. The service manger told me they had to go get a filter for it. I said you don't have a filter. He said it lists two filters one with a check ball in it and one without. He said they need the one with the check ball in it.
I have never heard of this before. Did they put the right filter in my car?

Sure they did all oil filters should have some sort of bypass, to prevent oil pressure loss due to a plugged filter. They were slow for whatever reason? Maybe a new parts counter guy?

No matter what you are covered if the dealer did your change.

Sounds fishy. Go look at the filter.

And my local dealer sold me the wrong oil filter as well.
It should be a PF64. |
