C7S SHIPPING TO EUROPE

Not pleased that after US taxpayers bailed out GM, Chevy is dissing US customers in shipping out C7s to Europe during initial production before fulfilling its US orders. This means US customers shall be waiting on their orders while Brits are driving theirs. So much for Corvette loyalty.

Not sure where you are coming up with that. They aren't even for sale in Europe yet, and there are now well over 300 U.S. customer cars built. They will likely be shipping the U.S. cars in just a couple of weeks.

The only Stingrays shipped to Europe so far are test cars.

Chevy says it shall ship C7s to Europe the same time it is shipping US orders, which means someone in Europe shall be getting their C7 before someone in the US awaiting an order

The same source that announced the official C7 start of production date!

I wonder if there is any extra time involved in putting a car (any car) on a boat, floating the boat across an ocean, unloading the car, then going through customs, then loading the car on a hauler and sending the car to a dealer as opposed to putting the car on a car hauler, driving the car to a dealer? Well, boat floating to Hawaii minus customs could be similar as well as a barge floating to Alaska..

So of course people living in Europe who ordered C7s will be driving their Stingray long before any US customers will be. Pure logic.

Any allegations of sarcasm will be graciously acknowledged.

Guess they need a little buzz over there. GM isn't doing well in Europe. I don't wan to wait either my friend. But let's be positive, we'll have the sickest newest ride on the road in a few months. Just in time for snow!

Doesn't matter when Europeans actually get to drive them, the point is that C7s built and shipped overseas shall be out of the US supply line while we US taxpayers having bailed out GM wait for ours, which is more than just a little galling.

What is real is waiting and waiting for delivery of our C7s, and in some cases even awaiting the opportunity just to order one, while C7s are shipping to Europe. That is a litigitate bitch. For loyal US taxpayers and Corvette loyalists, it does not appear that GM/Chevy gratitude and Corvette loyalty is reciprocal, and that is something to bitch about.

What is real is they have only been building customer cars for all markets for two weeks, and NOT ONE HAS SHIPPED ANYWHERE. I can find no reference that customer cars are shipping to Europe, or anywhere else for that matter. Relax - they are coming soon, probably in the next couple of weeks. And they will all be U.S. deliveries, as European sales haven't even started!

What appears to be real is the same GM source who announced the official date of start of regular 2014 model year Corvette production also announced that European customers would be getting/driving their 2014 model year C7 Stingrays before cars intended to be delivered to the US marker be would assembled.

No wonder Obama wanted to buy General Motors; how else could he assure his European friends early delivery of a Corvette not yet designed when he took the Oath in January 2009.

Diabolical.

My sarcasm gets the best of me. But I sill maintain the GM source that European deliveries would take place before US deliveries is the same source that announced the official date for the start of regular production.

The fact that GM never announced an official date for the start of regular production is irrelevant.

But at least we have reached the point where production has ramped up to full (or close to full) and car hauler loading could very well begin September 12.
