Jr. to announce he is leaving DEI?

Junior is having a news conference today at 11 at JR Motorsports to announce his plans for '08. Speculation has him and Truex leaving DEI. :(

Personally, my feelings are, if he leaves DEI, I am no longer a Jr. fan.

I was and still am a HUGE fan of his father. IMO, Dale Sr. was the greatest of all time. I wonder how Dale would feel about this?

I can understand Jrs. frustrations and wanting more responsibility in running DEI, but to me, his leaving the company his father started is a slap in the face.

I think he's making the smartest move of his career. His father wouldn't race for his own company and I don't think Jr. should either. But I do feel like Theresa should give him the 51% ownership he is asking for. Theresa is good with business and stuff but doesn't know CRAP about racing.

I think Jr. will go with RCR personally, just because his father raced for Richard Childress to get 6 of his 7 championships and they have been so close. I do NOT think he will race the black 3 because I don't think he feels like it's his place to. The Black 3 should be retired forever because there is no other man qualified high enough to drive it. Not even Jr. himself.

He has taken after his dad a LOT... but not in all places.
