tag....ya got me stumped......if you've had the same plate, why would you need to change them? but for the 7 digit plates it was $800 for 10 yrs, about $600 for 5yrs, or $395 for ONE!

but for 6 digit personalized plates if you got your personalized plates prior to My Plates taking over, Like I did for my wifes car, their only $45/yr.......if you get NEW ones through My Plates, the CHEEPEST you can get them for is $60/yr....but that is only if you pay UP FRONT for 10 years ($595)......if you pay by the year, they are about $195/yr.....or for 5 yrs its $495

here is the site.....

Mine TX plates are $40 bucks a year for personalized through the DMV... no way I'm going with MyPlates and paying those prices...

and as MLEE did.....there are still plenty of plate choices you can get through the state that are only $40/yr.......go to this link....

https://rts.texasonline.state.tx.us/...d=40&pltid=170

and in the box in the upper left "QUICK LINKS" and any of the top three, "Colleges and Universities", "Organizations', or "Professional Sports Teams", you can get personalized and only cost $40/yr. There are roughly 60 different plate choices in those 3 catagories.

my plate is TG UR IT right now. I just want to add the A in there.... TAG UR IT.

But, I want to keep it the $40 a year. There's no way in hell I'm going to spend some $600 just for a license plate. Those people are freaking nuts!

Yeah, I think it's lame that you have to pay that much up front, but I justified it by saying I'm really only paying $6.625 per month for the next 120 months
