I can’t believe nobody in the aftermarket world can rebuild these Or companies like Bilstein or Koni offer a replacement

No date as yet.
I don't understand why they would need to do product testing, they discontinued the parts.

Yes Levon, thanks and keep it coming. I'm in for a purchasing a full set if someone eventually produces something. A bit frustrating since the Mag Ride was trumpeted as a giant leap forward and one of the many reasons to purchase a ZL-1. Now it's become a reason not to own one. Since the technology did take hold, it's frustrating that another strut supplier did not backfill AC Delco or whoever dropped them. Sucks to own low volume cars since there's limited incentive for someone to produce that replacement.

Mag technology certainly took hold you still find it on corvettes, high end Cadillacs, and higher line GM,s. It’s the Camaro that didn’t take hold..

Yes, 100% correct. That 6th Gen C pillar killed the sales IMO as Mustang and Challenger sales soared. GM was too cheap to fix the problem so it just withered on the vine. I took delivery of a Hellcat Redeye Challenger 2 weeks ago. My back up plan was a GT500. If everything fell completely apart I would have considered at 23 ZL1. Great performance and best bang for the buck but just not very inspiring to look at (for me). Oh well. I will hang on to what I have and add something electric when they finally make one that looks like a car. Always a Z06 in the back of my mind but I prefer muscle cars to corvettes.

I may go this route, 1 million mile warranty and are rebuildable.

For $2400 it's comparable in price.

Mag ride is great when it works, my car rides like a damn covered wagon and the rears are leaking......again

They did, but stopped making them because no one bought them for the SS which will work on our cars

I have been searching for alternatives that don't cost an arm and a leg

I am confused why would you make a mag strut for an SS? I am not aware of anyone interested in making an aftermarket mag strut for the Z as the cost would be astronomical since the volume would be so small.

I have a 2012 ZL1 and earlier this year I had to track down parts that are discontinued. Rear-diff gasket, rear-diff-cover, and rear shock. In all 3 cases, I had great results in actually calling my local dealer's parts department. They are able to see nationwide if another dealer shows the part in inventory. I am in Dallas and the dealer has located parts for me in the Dallas area as well as Kentucky, Tennessee an Rhode Island.

Try getting a rear pinion seal. I golf with the head of supply chain at GM and even he was shocked when he put his people on it, nothing.. Most of these parts are Delco and I called them on several parts including batteries as they can see everything that has shipped from distribution to the dealer. The car had such few run for 4 years it just isn’t enough for 3rd part volumes. So many that started in 2013 with suspension parts no longer exist.
