and if your credit union does have a minimum 20K loan, just take out that much only. Put the rest down on the purchase. You will still have plenty left in your account. Then, make one large payment to your principal. With that one payment, it will all average out and your loan term will be cut drastically. The only drawback....your monthly payments for taking out that loan that was a little bit bigger than you expected will INCREASE your monthly payments. Don't know how that will effect your wallet. Just an idea....

Oh, and you can always refinance after a period of time. I refianced my Camaro a year after purchasing new. I was on a variable rate loan. I got them to swith to fixed and got a low apr. My monthly payments were cut by almost $40. It also shaved a lot of time off my payments. Worked out well.

My personal opinion....the top model camaro will be priced alongside the GTO. V6 is going to have to be 18k to 23k. That's the younger generation priceline.

Yeah...the more you raise that price, the less you sell (obviously). GM is fully aware of this and realizes they are taking a big risk if they push it too high. They will play it safe and price them in the right range. They won't let us down.

yeah but if you take too long and advertise too much for something that isnt out people are going to start getting excited for something that still has 2 years before you can getit. thats not the way to promote a car. thats what they did with the ssr. they advertised it way before it was out and then when they came out they were 40g's and no one wanted to pay that much for a truck that they didnt even like that much..... i dont know i just wish it were fall 08 right now

I see your point and agree. People will lose interest in the "hot new item" and when it finally comes out, won't sell because that interest is gone.

I think Ford is trying to ride the Mustang wave a bit to much. The GT500 is just priced way to high and they're going to get burned. There are just way to many after market performance parts that will get you close to the GT500 numbers for less money. Chevrolet had best remember how they priced the Corvette ZR1 to it's death.

If that's close to accurate for the Zs, then I may stick with Vettes afterall - C'mon, Chevy, keep the price truly "affordable" for the performance versions; that's part of the history of this storied vehicle!

Last time I'll say it. GM won't push that price tag over 40K. The dealers will most likely build the special edition that breaks the 40K mark, but GM won't surpass the Vette. That would hurt sales in both depts.

you dont understand this market and the things gm is doing and said they would do. if this car cost 32 there is no way in hell you will be seeing a camaro (z06) for only 8 grand more. gm will lose money on the motorcost because it cost 15000.00. you dont know what your talking about. and yes a 7.0 will surpass the base vette price of 42,000. sorry bud didnt meen to burst your bubble
