You may have already said this before, sorry if you have but is upgrading to an SS an option for you?

Look, it boils down to two things regardless of what they want, what you want, what phase the moon is in..

Book value and the condition of the car. Period.

Get a certified mechanic to go over the car, make an offer based on market value in your area.

To me it looks like you're in the ball park. Make an offer and walk out. They'll be calling, I guarantee it.

Market value in my area and not in the area where it's being sold? Just asking because I'm in Ga and the car is in Texas. When I was looking up the value I had Texas zip code where the car was located. I agree about the certified mechanic but I would have to find one in Texas and have them to go to the dealership to run the check. Again I wish the car was closer

I would agree with this right now. Im taking delivery of a 2010 Camaro 2ss this week. 40k miles, zl1 front end, and an upgraded navigation that runs the ac and heat too. Got it for $19,200. I feel this is a great deal in my area (midwest). The only ones I've seen close to this from a dealership generally have 70k+ miles and are bone stock and don't have the leather, ect.

Did you check the manufacture date on the drivers door jamb mm/Year? 2015 with 16,000 miles is on the high side. Was it mostly on the highway or a lot of city driving? Hopefully you can talk directly with the former owner/finance manager since he works there.
A look at the brake pads and tires if never replaced will give an idea on type of driving it had so far.
Good to carefully check to see if any accident damage.
Always a good idea to see how many oil changes were done so far. If manual trans, have they kept the clutch/brake fluid clean?
Ron

I have not because the car is in Texas and I'm in Ga. If this is the car for me and I make the trip to see it and test drive it I will check those things out. It has a clean carfax, no accidents, 1 owner. According to kbb average amount of mile for this car a year is 18,000+ miles
