The Trailboss is just a $7k appearance package. The ZR2 will be a very capable truck but it won't be a Raptor. I will say this though, I had a Blazer ZR2 and I took it places a Tacoma TRD couldn't go so I fully expect the new ZR2 to easily outperform that model.

Trail Boss is a little more than that. It has the same off road tires, skid plates, roll bar etc.

Like fit in a garage or a parking deck space.

This is probably your price range on the ZR2.

Your Raptor will be more capable anyway. Enjoy!

This thing looks mean. Tired of waiting but glad they're clearly building it.

Stop gap? What do you guys think?

2016 used

Lot of $ to settle. If you don't want the first one around, buy the used and ride it for a year or so then get the zr2. I'm assuming it's at least a year away yet?

Wasn't planning on paying the listing price. Just liked this example without the air dam, the larger tires, etc. Both things i'd do myself.

But yes, I was thinking of buying to scratch the itch and wait out the ZR2.

Damn I wish they would offer a manual transmission option with the V6.
