I'm coming around to the realization that this will be an upsized Colorado ZR2 (which is a fantastic off road truck). Yeah, it might only have 420hp, but it'll be attainable and capable. I get the approach. I hope they offer the diesel.

I’m interested in what they do. I hope to see Chevy push the boundaries a little bit but I’m expecting a scaled up Colorado ZR2.

I think they are seriously overestimating what GM is willing to do.

Correct headline:
Unable (or unwilling) to compete with Ford & Ram, Chevy seeks to corner Mall Crawler niche. |

They could absolutely build something that competes with Ford/Ram. But let's be honest, if this is a Raptor light and there's some value by comparison, it's going to print money for GM.

Interesting. Can't wait to see the actual design.

Would be cool to see AEV get ahold of the Silverado ZR2 like they did with the Colorado ZR2 and produce a halo to compete with the Raptor and TRX...

Looking forward to see the Silverado ZR2.
The 6.2L is a great engine and is plenty of power for the Silverado. I have a 2021 LT Trailboss with the 6.2L and it rocks. The Rebel TRX is badass.. but realistic build out on it is 85K!!! A 700hp truck for a daily driver is ridiculous. Ford Raptor's are a nice truck with a crappy motor. And they start at 65K and get to 80K real quick.. again.. ridiculous. Silverado ZR2.. keep the 6.2L (non-SC) and using my 2021 Trailboss LT as a template for cost.. I can see this truck go for the low 60's that I can daily drive, with power and decent mileage that will last me a long time without high maintenance costs. What will Chevy do? That's what we are waiting to hear... |
