NO they are not coutnerfits. I have the same size, 275/35/20 and 315/35/20 on my car. The larger 315/35/20 is 'technically' called the F453 CC which is a higher load rating tire meant for SUV's and trucks but since the Camaro runs basically truck tire sizes, it works in this application. If you're referencing it on Falken's website for this, you need to go to the Light Truck and SUV section of their site and you'll see the FK453CC is listed.
Tread is exactly the same, the tire is just stiffer to have a higher load rating for trucks, that's all. I have the same tires on my car though, been using them for maybe 8,000 miles so far, they're pretty fantastic, and at a great price too. |

Are these comparable to a 315/35-20 MICHELIN PILOT SUPER SPORT or should I just drop the extra cash?

For the money though, honestly I can't justify buying Michelins given the Falkens are pretty damn good. |

Hi how about your Falken's are they still in good shape ?
I'm thinking of buying them too. And I like the 275-35-20 in the front better I think because they are a little higher and smaller is better during the PM showers in FL I think. |

I have about 6-7000 miles on them and they were holding up well. I have my winter tires on now so I won't be putting many miles on them for awhile. I never did drag race with these on, but I don't think they would have been better than the Michelin PSS or the Goodyears.

Thanks again for the post between the 100 other post about the pro's for the Michelins.
I'm so happy with them and I also didn't want to spend almost double on the PSS. Went with the same set up and loving them. |

No problem Johnny glad I could help. Have you seen the deal on Mickey Thompsons? I am watching for results on that one.

What would be the pros and cons of going with these FK453s in 285/R30/20s vs 275/R35/20s in the front? I originally was going to go with the PSS's in the 315/295 combo everyone on here mentioned works well, but the price and the tire are very enticing. How much would handling be effected by the reduction in either width or tire length with the 2 options for the Falkens I have listed above? Negligible?
I live in Portland, OR area so 2/3 of the year the weather is like 40-60 degrees and so far have hated these goodyears so I want to make sure I pick something good. I have FK-453s on my colorado and I've liked them a lot and have been phenomenal in the rain... Any more info would be great. |

What is the diameter of that 285 tire as long as it is close to stock you should be OK. I have noticed that I scrape a little more with my 275's on the front.

The 285 is 30mm vs the stock tire size of 35.

The second number on tire size is a percentage of the width that tells you the sidewall height. So a 285/30-20 would be a shorter tire(26.7") than the stock 285/35-20(27.8").
