Poll: Current views on getting a cold air intake.

I wrote Halltech and asked them when they would be coming out with a non carbon fiber CAI since I know for me I do not want to spend that much on a CAI. They informed me that there is no demand for them and that is why they are not making one. I personally disagree I think there is a huge demand for a more reasonably priced CAI so I am making this poll to see what you all think.

I'd like them to elaborate on why it's not needed....I can only assume their engineering prototypes did not yeild any appreciable increases?

Probably not but If you sell 100 at 1200 dollars of the carbon fiber version or 1000 at 500 dollars for the non carbon fiber version which one in the end is going to make you more money. I personally stopped looking after I saw the price tag I am in the military and not made of money thats for sure. I am sure I am not the only one out there who is looking for a more reasonably priced CAI. I honestly think the companies feel there is not a need for a non CF version because their CF versions aren't selling that great. I think if they did sell a non CF version they would be able to move them a lot quicker.

I want one, but no way am I shelling out that kind of dough for CF. $500 is reasonable....$1500-$2000 is just not.

I'm with you all regarding price. I can do a lot of other things for that much green. But give the aftermarket a little more time, as many companies may not have much access to a Stingray yet. I suspect we'll see a lot more options for this and exhaust and other parts over the next few months.
