No Turkey!
My new Torch Red/Adrenaline Red, A6 arrived on Turkey day eve. (Obviously, I'm not superstitious) We have all become well aware of the QC problems associated with the C7 launch. I have been to the factory and talked to the "test drivers" before the official start of C7 production. I have been to Cars and Coffee and seen 7 new C7's of various colors in the bright sunlight and seen the orange peel. I built an extensive check list that my dealer - Classic Chevrolet in Sugar Land, TX, was kind enough to let me work through before I signed the check. To my surprise, it was as damned near perfect! Orange peel was only about a 1.5 on the scale where the other C7's I examined were in the 3-5 range. Hopefully that means the paint is getting better. Thanks to Glen E for his insights. I ordered a new set of wheels and had them installed today.

I have a CRT 7 speed Base 2LT on order and am a little nervous as well about the QC issues. I think you were smart to do a thorough per-purchase inspection.
Is your car a Z51? What did you do with the OEM wheels? |

Congrats! Your wheels look great, I'm usually not a fan of aftermarket rims but TSWs always look good in my opinion. You and Glen have good taste.
I have an unrelated question to ask you since you live in Texas. Is the C7 your daily driver or only car? I'm moving down to Texas in a few years and trying to decide whether I need to have 2 cars because of the possibility of snow (even though it's Texas). Does it snow down there every year? Thanks
