Purchasing a ZL1 1LE this weekend

Hey group,

Saw the ZL1 1LE and fell in love. Think this car is the perfect fit for me as I approach retirement. Want a fun car for occasional track days, cars and coffee, and Camaro club events. Saw a grey one the other day and it was stunning. Curious what other forum members are paying. My local dealer that I have purchased many cars from over the years quoted me 3500 off MSRP (which included the 1000 rebate). MSRP right at 73K, price was 69,500 with no dealer fees (just add tax and registration). Ive searched lots of previous posts, but sometimes it is hard to decipher as folks post prices paid with/without dealer fees, rebates, etc.. Thanks for sharing any insight

That seems about right. The only other additional rebates/discounts that are available are things like conquest and %% off...neither of which, I think, apply to this car.

Congratulations!! It's an amazing machine!

Make the deal. That’s approximately where I was at with Educator / Supplier pricing.

In the Los Angeles area... TPW is 2/19 for a nightfall grey metallic... got mine at $1000 over MSRP ($73.090). It was the cheapest i found from the surrounding dealers. Negotiated down from $10k over. Was told by multiple dealers the going rate in LA County was between $10k and $20k over sticker. Was recently told by GM through email that the allotment process ended Jan 1, and only three of the nine or so dealers around me were able to get one. For example, Simi Valley Chevrolet told me they would sell it for
$2500 under msrp if they could get their hands on one, but corporate wouldnt let them have one, and other dealers wouldnt trade unless there was an agreed upon markup. At the end of the day i dont know how much is true or false, im just happy to have gotten one.

Unfortunately there are penalties you pay, and hoops to jump through at the dmv to get out of state cars registered when they are new. The other problem is the social media feeding frenzy where the newest, biggest, bestest thing rules (yes bestest is intentional). The markup is acceptable to too many people interested in being the first to have it. And dealers are more than happy to let inventory sit in the hopes of getting that sucker that will pay stupid markup. The gt350 has the same problems. The viper acr had a $30k markup, the c7.r packaged z06 had a $25k markup... that car was sold for $150k because stupid people will pay. I dont understand where all this money comes from.

Just about everything sucks here. The liberals have destroyed this state. As soon as i can retire, im moving to a free state... unfortunately its a long way off.

That’s messed up I don’t blame you , well there are plenty of other great places in the union. Always pros and cons to where you live like now it’s 25 degrees outside here in NC would be nice to have California heat bout now.

I'm looking for a Red Hot ZL1LE in Southern California. The 2 or 3 that I found were missing either the carbon dash or PDR and those are must have options for me
