Older R888s roar like an aggressive truck tire

I'd like to know this too. I plan on moving to this tire/size once my stockers are done

I'm afraid going up Over an inch in size up front will be too much height with the lowering springs and the shocks are tight to begin with.

Do you think there would be a problem running a 325/30/20 on the back ( after seeing your 315 on the back ) ?

Im running 285/35/20 Front and 315/30/20 Rear

No rubbing yet but we will see after the lowering springs go on, and yes, you will hear them but it isn't a terrible noise

I've got pics in my profile at stock height if you want to take a look...SS model though....

The two sizes are only .5" difference in overall height.

I hope 325/30/20 fit with 12” rear. That’s going on my car when my wheels come in. Fingers crossed

Let me know how those work out for you. I am going to try the 325/30/20 on 11", so if they wont fit, I will go with the 315/30/20.

So If I understand this tire stuff correctly a
1) 315/30/20 will fit on our stock 11'' rear rim with no issues?
2) 285/35/20 will fit on our 10'' front rim with no issues but why would i want a higher sidewall and not a wider tire than whats already on front?

* Toyo R888R available sizes will these work with stock rims? Higher sidewall scares me on front with no rubbing/spedo issues
305/35/20 front (not available in 30 sidewall)
315/30/20 rear
https://www.toyotires.com/tire/patte...petition-tires

Please help me if I got this wrong, cause I like our rims I think their classy for an older guy like me but I want wider tires front and rear.

Taller sidewall and wider tire on oem front rim will make the car feel a little bit more mushy in your turn ins. I would not go wider in front on oem rims. Going up slightly in aspect ratio isn't that bad but I personally wouldn't do it. They make or will make the r888r is one front tire specs. 315 in rear is fine. No issues.

I think I got it unless I go to 19'' rims I should have no issues with R888R with stock rims as follows:
315/30/20 rear (1 size wider)
285/30/20 front (same width as stock)

Thank you

Alright , so i confirmed this issue, the Toyo R888R 285/35/20 will NOT fit the 2017 ZL1 with mag ride, the tire was rubbing on the spring lower plate on the damper, and also it was rubbing the liner when you hit full steering lock. Not to mention if you want to do the alignment for the track you will need to camber the front wheels so it will touch the damper even more!

Not sure why anyone would go up in aspect ratio in the front anyway...
