I just got mine done, solar guard 40% on the sides 20% on the back good heat reduction.

I just thought about the rear defroster. I assume it is ok to tint the back glass cause I know all of these ZL1's have a rear window defroster,right?

It's a non issue. The rear defroster will still work. One of the reasons you have a professional do the install, it's tight back in there.

Well I got to thinking about that question after I posted it and looked back at some of what these guys said and most said all of the windows so I figured it was ok to put it on the back glass when you had the rear defroster. Just wanted to make sure that was correct. I am going to find out tomorrow who does this in my area and see what it cost and about the ceramic tint that someone mentioned.

Had my done with shop that dealer has all their cry taken to for clean up and detail. I have always had my windows tinted as it does make a difference in the cooling of the inside especially since the Z has black interior. Go with a reputable shop, ask your dealer for recommendations. Good luck and post some pix when done

Yep Tint was Mod Numero Uno. 1 Week after having her, 20% all the way around to get rid of the fishbowl

Tint isn't my thing. I don't have it in any of my cars. Some applications do look nice, however.

30% all the way around here. Looks darker at night or when cloudy. I had ceramic installed which does a great job of keeping out the heat and harmful rays.

OUCH!! I found the only place here where I live that does window tint and I ask him about the ceramic tint and he does sell it. He priced doing all of the glass except the windshield at 350.00 bucks. He can do the other tint that he says everyone else uses for 125.00. The other place that sells it is about 45 miles from me and I have been in their store and their prices are high on everything so I don't believe I will call them. So you guys who have this ceramic tint is it worth that much difference in price? I just don't see it myself but let me know what you think?
