The supply of the painted hood is apparently limited for whatever the reason might actually be. Can only assume supply and demand was estimated improperly for initial production and they are making the adjustment to incentivise a likely imbalance in supply.

People pay big money for the exposed carbon look on other cars. I consider it a nice gift to those that like it.....mine is coming in this way....feel like I just got a nice rebate!
