Cammed 1le vs full bolt-on C7 Auto

Raced this guy last week with a Full bolt-on C7. We did a 50 roll and he destroyed me lol. I had a passenger and a full tank of gas. After the race I wasn't too upset because those 8-speeds are awesome and it sounded great as it walked me. I love the c7. His buddy's started talking poop and nut hugging. That's when I decided to run him again but with my regular weight reduction. I also hopped on e85. Was on a street tune with a peak 11.7 afr at WOT. So, not optimal. We ran it again and he got the hit. I reeled him in and best him by half a car. We let off at 130. He beat me the first time by like 4 cars, and I came back a week later and embarrassed him and his nut hugging friends. I ran him n/a btw. I have both videos but I know I can't post it here.

sounds about right. the only reason I can come up with you even losing the first time by that much would be wrong gear starting out in or missing a shift. a fully bolt on tuned A8 C7 vs Cammed bolt on Camaro roll race should be very close almost every time with the auto allowing you to inch away. my best friend has a fully bolt on M7 C7 and I race him NA all the time. bottom end he gets me but I can reel him in and get ahead up to about 130-140ish and then aero plays to his benefit. with your gearing you should be better off than me against a C7.

Vette owners and their buddies will never accept being beat by a Camaro though, just how it is. FL2K last year I completely destroyed a brand new A8 C7Z by about 4 cars from a 40 and he even got the jump by 2 cars before I walked by him. We had video of it and everything..Cletus from 1320 video was there but didn't get it on his camera. Next day the guy posts his go pro vids online and cut it off the moment you could see my car start to pull by him as if he won. can you blame them though?..his 90k+ Vette vs my 30k SS with maybe 10k invested and built in my garage

Exactly right man! It's crazy how pride can screw things up. When I lose I laugh it off and come back better. It's the name of the game

You won't take a "full bolt on" C7 with a tune unless your near 600RWHP due to the fact that it's a 430+ RWHP car vs your 440-480 RWHP car. On nitrous it's doable. But based off your cam specs all motor you'd get a walking all motor. Now if it was on spray your title should be "beat a Bolt on C7 with a cam+nitrous+weight reduction+e85."

Jesus you guys are idiots with all this bench racing ricer math. Using inaccurate vehicle weights and HP assumptions too. 600whp needed to beat a bolt on Stingray? 1000lb weight difference? What kind of drugs are you guys on? Javier just go to ls1tech if you want to talk about your kills this forum is a joke.

Oh yes idiots right. I agree with 3/4th of your post. Until you realize that C7 run 10.8-11.2 with bolt ons and tune (C7 forum top list) and a L99 with PERFECT weather and 600RWHP runs into middle to top 10s, secondly the word "near" was used as in you need 550+ to beat one not 600 on the dot. You're right, let's forget those facts and go on your opinion because you must have the fastest Camaro in this thread so you are our fact checker thanks for clearing that up.

Why don't you hop over to C7 forum and look at the times for a bolt on C7. The question here isn't a C7 Z06. It's that a "full" bolt on C7 isn't a slouch. A C7 "full" bolt on vs a Camaro a basic cam making 440-480 will beat it on a track, roll, dig with equal drivers. The same way a bolt on SS here has run the same times as a ZL1 stock on this very forum. I see what you tried doing but your logic/intelligence wasn't there yet. See now why your post is flawed as well ? Bolt on SS's have run the same times as stock ZL1, in the same way a C7 "full" bolt on runs as a C7 Z06 stock, but how can that be ? Driver plays a huge roll. You are factoring driver skill in order to seem "smarter" in this thread. Remove your opinion, look at it from facts. A C7 is just a better suited once "full" bolt ons are added vs a cam Camaro.
