Love the burn out photo!

That replica is very cool and its paint looks better than a real one. Funny thing is, I just went on a field trip with 330 7th graders to the Udvar-Hazy Center a month ago and stood next to the real thing. It was placed in the museum with the scorch marks, etc. just as it came back from the last mission. One of the docents at the museum was an SR-71 pilot (they have one of those there too!) and a space shuttle pilot. How about that for a resume!

I don't think the governor changes by the drive mode.

Not really talking about a governor.. power management...wet mode is definitely the weakest ptm mode.

Does the PTM in wet mode actually lower the maximum power output during a long application of WOT by the driver, or does it just soften the throttle response?

It is related to traction and you can see after about 116 mph it stopped pulling power out. Try it on a dry track (did once by mistake) you will think the car has an issue... I believe 5th gear is too steep. Remember this car is 100percent stock, and it was a rainy day in Florida. Two elderly guys in a Hellcat Charger who have done 212 in better conditions felt the car did amazing. I may have not stated prior, but I taped nothing for aero, heck some pulled their door panels to get the side mirror off, pretty serious folks...

While this was cool to get in the mail over the weekend, I believe my car has been the only car ever entered in this class, so a record by default, but at least I get it for a year... and did it for the fun anyway.

Also, I wonder why the landing area had to be perfectly flat?
I can't read the name in the pic, but there was the Enterprise and also the Pathfinder, a full-scale mock-up.
