What is the blue line on the tach ahead of the actual rpm reading? Is that to help shifts to be perfectly before the redline?

If we are referring to the same thing then yes. Where blue meets red is redline. Color hud is just

Except if I was kicked out to the garage I would just end up driving it the entire night instead of actually sleeping.

That HUD is a lot easier to read that on the SS Camaro.
