P219a Code
I just bought a 2011 Camaro SS 7 days ago. Like most I wanted it to be louder so I took it to a local muffler shop and had the stock mufflers deleted but kept the resonators. This was about 4 days ago. Then yesterday I get a check engine light on. I took it to O'Reilly auto parts this morning and had it scanned. It came back with the code P219a air fuel ratio imbalance bank 1. The sales person said I had the code twice so probably bank 2 has the same issue.
Would this be caused by the muffler delete? Is it something I need to worry about? Would putting mufflers on the car get rid of the code? Thanks for the help. |

I have taken to just unhooking the front ECM connector and hooking it back real quick when it does it to me to get the AC back on. Sometimes it'll go a week and sometimes a day. Dealer doesn't have a clue.
My sensor measures good. My continuance to the ECM reads good and I've changed the thermostat out. Hell the old sensor read good too but I changed it anyway just in case. This is a pain in the ass. |

I'd like to just find out why it started doing it. Surely the computer didn't change all of a sudden. Has to be something physical no?
