ZL1 1LE 3rd brake light Install

Here is a install video showing you truly how much it takes to get that 3rd brake light off of your 6th gen Camaro. Shout out to Lethal Camaro for the 80 dollar brake light! Also thank you Camaro6 family for tuning in to the how to videos! Y’all are the best! http://bit.ly/2z5cuPL

I've seen several people piss and moan about breaking the double side tape to get the lights out. Could you use a heat gun and soften the adhesive?

I used an old credit card to loosen up the tape around the third brake light without taking anything apart from the trunk lid, it popped out then cleaned it up then put the new brake light in and done.

I used fishing line to cut the tape first and then pushed it out from inside

I also used a credit card to break the tape. Had no trouble removing the stock brake light. Biggest pain of the whole install was completely removing the old tape.

I used a spare plastic propeller from one of my drones.

It worked.

Nice Video bud!

Does the new light come with adhesive already on it?

Yep, double sided adhesive comes with it and already installed onto the lamp.

It is a bitch to come out but it’s not end of the world. Move slowly with a non marring type of tool.
