Signatures under the hood of my camaro SS/RS

Hello. New to the forum and recently bought the Camaro SS/RS. Has some signatures under the hood on the strut towers. Anyone fill me in on who they are and the significance of them?

Mike Judge was final line inspector at the Camaro plant in Oshawa where that Camaro was built. And Al Oppenheimer was head engineer for the Camaro.

Looks like you bought your car from someone who really loved the spirit of what the Camaro represents, and the history behind it. I'm thinking that car was probably VERY well cared for. I'm thinking you just won the lottery for used cars!!

Thank you for the clarification and the comments. Car only has almost 58k miles on it. It is a pretty clean car and from what I can tell was well cared for and nicely modified. Now I am more curious on when and where they got the signatures. Lol. Thanks again. B

Probably at Camaro Fest would be my guess or at Rogers Chevy during Becky's Chevy show in Detroit. Pictured below is Al signing my 2013 Camaro in Detroit.

I got mine at Camarofest in Bowling Green KY a few years back. Looking at the dates, that's where yours were signed as well. Mystery solved.

Looking at that picture there, with that taped wire loom and molded plastic piece that goes around the strut tower...I have always wondered why the hell GM didn't put a bit more fit and finish into making that look less crappy. Every single Camaro I have seen is done that way.

Bad ass engine bay btw.

That is why I like the close out cover I have on my car.

Damn, both of those are sick. I need to spend some more time cleaning up under mine.

That was Camaro Fest VI and the 1st time we went to Bowling Green

Here are pics of the event you might find your car in.

Chief Engineer Al Oppenheiser (aloppen on this forum) has attended all Camaro Fests up until #9

Mike Judge (Super60 on this forum) just retired from GM works at the assembly plant in Oshawa Canada and attended Camaro Fest #1 and then returned for Fest #6 and signed your car so pretty cool there. I really like how they preserved the signatures.

I'm quite sure the owner was on this forum because during that time all the advertisements for Camaro Fest came from here.

This was Als last signature while still Chief Engineer for Camaro. Signed on the Camaro's birthday 2018
