best way to remove swirl marks?

hey does anyone hae any suggestions on removing swirl marks? i just purchased a 2010 black camaro and it has some swirl marks that i want to get rid of. please let me know if you have any tricks!!

There are many ways to remove them with a lot of great articles here on C5 even.
For more in depth conversations, look on some of the Detail forums like Autogeek.net or Live2detail.

But the "Best" way is to have a professional Detailer like myself remove them. Especially on a Black car.

Let me tell you it's a process and a bitch to keep up. Have my Black 2010 since then and always polishing it to keep it up. To start try and rinse car well before washing. Only use a micro fiber hand rag to clean. If possible try and blow dry most of the water off. The less you wipe it the better. Thats your every day stuff to help it from happening. To get the swir5 out your going to need a polisher. I've tried both DA and Orbital. I personally like the orbital type. The DA type seem to leave marks from the dual action. So step by step
1st. Clay Bar the car with the White clay. This will get anything off the paint before polishing it.
2nd Fine Cut Polish I use XMT from Auto Geeks. Not to expen5 but a good product.
3rd Ultra Fine Cut Polish same XMT brand
4th Glazing Polish same XMT Brand want to use same brands as they are design to use in a sequence.
5th and Last Canuba Wax I use a 3M product

Like I said it's a process. All day infact and messy. Need to blue tape moldings and jam off so polish doesn't get in all of those. Lastly try and air blow car off and keep inside. The less you wash it the better it will last. Every time you wipe it off you'll create swirl.

Well if you want to nit pick instead of giving advice. A Buffer is Random Orbit or Dual Action and a Polisher is Circular Orbit. But it looks like your the only pro that know anything.

In a nutshell, it will take an abrasive polish and a machine to effectively remove them. By hand, you can only move so fast and you'll see an improvement, but you'll never get perfection if that's what you're after.

Hit some garage sales this spring. I picked up a electric leaf blower for $3 last spring. It is the best detailing product so far! Use electric not gas, gas will leave residue. Not having to wipe so much water off is the key. Then find the polisher and polish that fits your style and budget. This will get expensive fast at first. Once you find what works best it is easier on the wallet, as you can buy in bulk. I am a severe novice at this and am just offering my experiences. I have found that this a very personal thing as everyone has a different level of detail and will use there equipment at different pressures, motions, and time. Practice will get you the results you want. I like to try out everything on my worst car and see how it works there.
