my C7 is at "3400" build status.....

Is anyone else at build status 3400 yet?

Could it be true?

Are the customers cars going to start being assembled?

Whoooah.......

3400 has to be attained so the stickers with the VINs et cetera can be printed. It usually comes out in the week preceding the week the build takes place, and normally also has a TPP (Tentative Production Period).

For what it worth, C7s virtually disappeared around here in July, but this past few days I have seen several including one in the distance that looked like it could be a black convertible. I was driving the Corvair and had no chance of catching up to be sure.

I'm also at 3400 as of this morning. I'm told that production is usually within a week or so once this is reached. I suppose it's possible to be a little slower with this first batch of Stingrays for various reasons. We'll see next week, I'm sure!

When both are available Becky can tell you as well as your dealer salesperson.

I believe the VIN is created as part of getting to 3400 but is not available until getting to 3800 (assembled) but I know some get to 3800 for several days before the VIN is available. I have no idea why.

I am not. Although a VIN is usually available as soon as a car is built, it is not always. In addition, Chevy seems to be keeping news from Bowling Green Assembly scarce to none. I am fairly certain those who went to 3400 last week will find that their order was assembled this week, but only time will tell.

The best place to post this question and expect an answer is in the All Corvette C7 Status Questions thread stickied at the top of this section. There is a chance she may see your post here but a much greater chance she will not.

I agree with your statements, I was talking to the inventory manager at my dealership and told him being I was at 3400 isn't it unusual I do not have a TPW, he basically said not really on a new model he has seen VINs when the car is produced and still the vehicle never had a TPW in it's Workbench history. Being he has done this for 20 or so years and has see it all. As you said only time will tell.

I went back to 3400 on August 9th.

We were also at the Woodward Dream Cruise this weekend, and seen each color of the C7 at the cruise riding around, and a bunch of them at the Chevy Performance tent. All of them are out there, no verts were there.

We are extremely close folks. They are working out some issues.
