I considered a locking gas cap until I read that thieves were just crawling under the car and popping a hole in the tank to get to the gas. I would rather replace a tank of gas than both the gas and the tank.

Too bad he did not get his weiner stuck, but anyone who would do this probably has one too small to even get close to getting it stuck. |

I like the door to be as hidden as possible since it is on the wrong side for an American car.

Cop says its easier, they just set the gas can on the ground, run a hose into the tank and let it go, looks less like they are stealing your gas than having a hose coming out of the side of the car, and as stated to many problems with newer cars siphoning. As to having people putting things into your tank, you need to stop doing whatever is encouraging people to do that |

Hey Calbert199, they are the GM wheels. Installed at the dealership. Sorry for the late answer, I never saw your question.

The locking gas cap barely slows them down anyways. Just pull really hard on one side of it and the top comes off, slide the gray tab on the inside to the unlocked position then push it back on and remove.

I bought the GM locking gas cap (check DIY section). It's easy to install and nice looking.
I like that it is keyed using the lock/ignition key. This means no extra key to deal with on the ring or lose. I obtained mine from Maureen @ Rodgers.
