GM Claims Lowest Priced Hybrid
The Daily Auto Insider Tuesday, March 20, 2007 General Motors contends that the newly launched hybrid version of its Saturn Aura sedan — which qualifies for a $1,300 tax credit — is the lowest-priced hybrid in the U.S. market, Dow Jones Newswires reported. "With a starting price over $2,000 less than any midsize hybrid sedan and a $1,300 tax credit, it makes true hybrid fuel savings available to more people than ever before," Saturn General Manager Jill Lajdziak said in a press release. The $22,695 Aura Green Line is among the first of several hybrid-electric vehicles GM plans to introduce; it launched the Saturn Vue "Green Line" SUV during the second half of 2006 and later this year will launch a hybrid version of its higher-volume Chevrolet Malibu and full-size SUVs, the story said. |
