Here is a partial post from the Mustang village Idiot on mg6 forum regarding this...
"Ford typically immolates the 1965-1966 Era". Here is the definition of "immolate"... im·mo·late ˈiməˌlāt verb kill or offer as a sacrifice, especially by burning. Last edited by Bongos2U; 10-05-2015 at 01:32 PM. |

Looks are subjective of course, but I give the styling edge to the Mustang at this point. I think the Camaro's interior and drivetrain is superior however.
I think the Mustang is evolving into more of a "sports" car and camaro is trying to remain a "muscle" car. I could be wrong but wont know until I see a Camaro in person. I can remember my first new car...It was a 1993 Eagle Talon TSI AWD. I thought the car looked hideous in all the magazine shoots....then I saw it in person and bought it on the spot. |

Aww come on, Mustang's not a bad looking car, no need to burn it.

The 6th Gen Camaro looks really good but I think the sideview of the 5th gen still looks better because the pointy rear quarter window looks better. I prefer the hood on the 5th gen more also but the 6th gen is a better all around car.

That Roush Mustang looks sweet from that rear shot, but its far from stock. You can bet the hi-po and 3rd party variants of the Camaro are going to be very mean looking as well.

Aaaand once again the site is obsessed with what M6G thinks.
They don't even CARE about this site, yet there are probably 7 threads here where people are concerned about what's being said there. Good grief. |

That is one thing I noticed about the Mustang and Camaro forums that doesn't really exist over on the Dodge side.
Dodge forums have the nicest group of people, and they don't dog on other people's cars just because they're from a different brand. Nobody said they "can't stand" this or "hate with a passion" that. Probably a more mature crowd, I guess.

Not even considering the fact I think the mustang is a horrible euro-jap design, it's funny to see how "fresh" and "new" goes fast ...
Just put a newer car - Camaro - next to a recent car - Mustang - and the latter immediately looks old. Funny

Biggest issue I have with the new Camaro is the rear quarter window. It's shape is odd, and it's too small, makes that area of metal below it look very large...I love the rest.

I like the new Mustang, but I like the Camaro so much more. The "shoulders" (the part of the body over the rear wheels where the C pillars attach) look so much more muscular on the Camaro, like it is crouched and ready to pounce.
Be that as it may, it would have been nice to have included a 2014/15 5th Gen with the front & rear fascia makeovers in the line-up for the photos. P.S. Those cats-eye headlights on the 5th Gen creep me out ... P.P.S. It's amusing to me how many vehicles now sport their side marker lamps along the edges of the wheel openings, and the new Camaro has followed the trend. I wonder which car was the first to feature these? |

The Camaro front is better than the Mustang. I'm looking forward to the ZL1 & Z/28 as the SS & RS are not quite there. The rear? By far the Mustang. The Camaro rear is already dated looking.
