Gas aint even that bad.

Don't speed either way because if the cops catch you going 1MPh over in a car like this, they're gonna ticket you. I call it nice car tax. They'll overlook the honda civic going 10-15mph over the limit in favor of your car.

just enjoy it

I've heard the gas ain't that bad depends on how you drive.
So I'll keep it calm and see how it goes.

Thank you I most definitely will enjoy it.

Another thing you need to know(if you don't) the SS requires premium gas. Most of all enjoy the car when you get it,and the perma grin that comes with it.

Welcome to the forum!

I have an automatic....btw...automatics have 400hp manuals have 426...

As for gas mileage mine averages 18-19 mpg.I drive mostly interstate, doing 70-75 though, would love to do 100 but I have state troopers constantly monitoring.. their hq is just a mile off the interstate I use. :(

Are you buying from a dealer or an individual? Since it is a '13 it should be in good shape. Check tire wear and also look at the service records. I would want to see at least two or three oil/filter changes. Run a carfax.

A dealer should have checked the car. It is still under warranty, but if it shows signs of abuse I would pass. Make sure it has the factory Perelli P Zero tires. New tires would be a red flag for me.

Most of these cars are treated well, so hopefully the one that you are considering will be in very good condition.

As others have said, just take it easy when you get it. It will take a little time to get used to the performance and handling. Be very careful backing up and changing lanes!

This is not a difficult car to drive, so get it and enjoy it. Just use common sense.

Any advice on the car? It has 17k miles and I'm paying 26 plus taxes titles etc.
my dream car! But wondering how the gas is going to work, v8 and shit.
What should I expect?

Lmk thanks!

Welcome!! It sounds like you found a good priced car. $26k is good for a '13 2SS. Post up some pics when you get a chance.

Lots of high way driving for me

Amanda
"Lots of highway driving" should get you into the low 20s for MPG. This, of course, depends on how much and how often you stomp you right foot down. And don't forget to use high octane (91 to 93) fuel. "Regular" gas will screw up the computer and your car will not run well.

Good luck Amandaaaaaaa, and welcome to C5!

BTW, 26,000 is an awesome price for a 2013 2SS, even with 17,000 miles on her. I'd look the car over very carefully before you finalize the deal. This car should be going for 10,000 more. If you are satisfied, then you are getting one heck of a deal. Actually Kelley Blue Book says this car should go from 29,000 (fair condition) to 33,000 (excellent condition) if you purchase from a private party, more from a dealer.

depends on how you drive it. I get 25mpg at 75 on the thruway all day and 19-20 playing with it. and I have 3.91 gears. I live in the country though.
I think the 1st guy saw your pic and his brain went to mush. Low octane fuel wont screw up the computer. It will screw up the motor. 91 or 93.
