This is the engine in the 2016 Camaro. Impressive!

Built in Romulus, MI. Very cool, next to this insane engine. Still wish they would drop this one in the camaro.

If in order to justify buying a car you need to use its full potential on the roads. Then nobody would be buying most high performance cars.

There isn't anything "wrong" with either car, just pick the car that speaks to you.

For me I love the idea of having a big V8 engine. The sound and feeling of the power is very addicting. Plus these new LT1 engines pull decent MPG.

I have a V6 RS with NPP and it is awesome. you can get a RS V6 with Tech package and NPP for $28500 now with supplier and other discounts. A hell of deal. I know of one at the dealer I got my Camaro from PM if you are interested.

I do not track but feel it is worth it.
I had a 2002 v6 and a 2014 v6. In my 2014 I never hit the gas and felt I needed more power, it is not an underpowered car and will beat the majority of cars on the road.
That being said, I now drive a v8 and will never go back. Worth every penny to me but worth is subjective.

I would get the 1SS every time. 0% APR is a great deal, but like others said they will do it again if you need more time to save money. Don't spend more than you can budget for though!
Couldn't have said it better. The base 1LT with a V6 and no other options stretched my retirement income as much as I would allow it to be stretched. I could have bought a used SS but I wanted a brand new car in my retirement. With the balls this engine has I don't feel at all like I have settled. But I would absolutely buy a base SS before I would buy an optioned out V6 if I had another 10 grand to spend.

Yep and there's nothing shabby about 335 HP! That is plenty of power for the streets. If I had to DD mine for a lot miles to work, I would have bought the base V6. Best bang for your buck!

This. I got the RS package and Technology package... that's it. My Car was still at least $7-8k cheaper than a no option SS. I am 100% happy with my V6.

If you can swing the extra $$$ for the SS do it, you won't regret it. But if you buy the V6 make sure you are doing it to save money, or else I think you will regret it.

Today you can get a V6 RS with Tech and NPP exhaust for $28,500.00 Current deals on 2016 inventory. Shoot for this number.

Hell of a deal, saving almost 8-10k from a 1SS!

That exhaust note is unreal for the V6 with NPP!

I have a 2010 V6, fully loaded with manual transmission. And love it. All the goodies and hardly used them. So this time I decided to go with a base 1SS with NPP and manual transmission and I love it. Now I have the power I need when I need it.

Well I can tell you from experience I bought the v6 and loved it but deep down I wanted the v8. So long story short I ended up trading the v6 for a v8 and took a $6500 hit. Was it worth it ? Hell yes lol
