Great idea. We're planning a trip in late May to Watkins Glen and the Finger Lakes wineries. I'll post pictures of our Corvette with Seneca Lake and vineyards in the background. We may even do a few paced laps around Watkins Glen International as part of the Thunder Roads Tour.

We will be coming from Ohio with the caravan. Have a CGM with kalahari convertible. So far 265 cars from Ohio and western PA. signed up to go.

First Corvette event planned for this year, with lots of other Corvette owners, is the Back To The Beach event in early June on Maine.

We are going to the Florida panhandle in May. I'll try and post some beach photos.

I ordered my Vert with the removable front end cover - I don't really like front end covers as to me they look kinda crass like a plastic cover on a sofa - I may change my mind if it looks really good, but I doubt it - So why did I order one? - For the month long trip my girl (wife) http://www.bandmix.com/drzphd/ and I are taking (when I actually get my car) from southern Maryland across county out to SF down to LA to Las Vegas to NO and then back again to Maryland when she retires from US GAO later this year (I retired from US ICE in January) - We are visiting 2 dozen National Parks on our trip such as the Badlands, Yellowstone, Grand Tetons, Crater Lake, Yosemite, Zion, Bryce, Grand Canyon, etc, and we call this the Thelma and Louise Tribute Tour - Probably shall use the front end cover sparingly - Got the cover to protect my C7 mostly for any rough roads in the National Parks, and out west following good buddies in Jimmys hauling hogs

Just completed a 12 day 3300 mile trip from Buffalo to western Florida panhandle, over to Winter Haven and then back to Buffalo. The C7 is one of the most comfortable and enjoyable cars we have ever owned. Had a minor problem when we got to Crestview, FL [82 degrees]. The right rear tire was down to 22 psi. Had a #8 self tapping screw in the middle of the tread. Found a tire shop that took tire off, patched it, did a road force balance, had us back on the road in less than an hour and only charged $25.00. The car performed flawlessly and we got 26.7 mpg without using economy mode. The car attracted a lot of attention wherever we went. Unfortunately, the site will not allow me to attach pictures tonight.

When is the Corvette Museum thing going on?

I hope it's not August 20th. KISS is in Des Moines and I'm not missing their show for anything.
