Transparent Roof availability

Does anyone know when the transparent roof will be available for order? This is an option I'd like to add; but the few dealers I've spoken with cannot order this item for me.

this is the easiest item to add later, if you have to. you can buy the top from gm when the supplier catches up on production or get one used on the forum or ebay from an owner who bought both tops and is tired of storing the one that he never uses.
and you can sell yours the same way. not like trying to change to a carbon fiber dash later.

I also posted this in another forum but for ease, here's my experience. I ordered the transparent roof back in November from a local dealership and upon pickup was when I learned that I would also need its components. It's a good thing I was able to obtain everything at discounted prices. To sum it up, the total would be approx $1700 (discounted). And retail is approx $2200 all in. The reason is all the components are sold separately therefore they do not come with the glass top itself except the pair of F & R guide pins. Here's the breakdown: transparent panel , weatherstrips, retainers, plates, shims, covers, handles, brackets, latch, bolts, and washers. My dealer said the transparent roof lists for approx $1212 retail. The latch, the 2 handles, and the pair of side weatherstrips are the priciest of the components... that rear latch is nearly $300 retail and it's one of the two carryover parts from the C6! Go figure. I attached the parts/components scans for reference. In the first scan, you will need to order all components except #3, 8, and 10 since it comes already installed on the transparent top. In the second scan, you will need to order #3, 4, 21, and 22 only. Hope this helps...

Transparent Roof for black corvette

I am willing to trade my black transparent roof for a black painted one plus cash.

I ordered my C7 with clear/tinted roof with no problem on Veteran's Day last year.

Maybe that's one of the reasons I've been stuck at 1100 since then.

Did you trade your transparent roof? I have a carbon fiber I would like to trade.
