Comp cam trunnion after 15k miles
I'm currently replacing my comp cam trunion upgrade since I was replacing my valve springs and found them like this. I've seen people say it might be installer error and some just blame the design. Most are like this of not worse. Guess I'll see how the smith bros kit does after a few thousand miles and hope there's no catastrophe

Been there, they are junk. The bushings will be a better alternative for sure.

I'd be curious to see if the BTR trunion kit wears out just as quickly. I don't think the needles falling out would be an issue on the BTR Kit because the snap rings are way oversized compared to comps.

Same thing in my car. Comp uses soft metal that wears. Anyone that has them should swap asap.

I JUSt bought a BTR stage II package with a truninion kit from Comp (BTR was out of stock of their own). Should I not install it? I'm concerned now and wonder if I should leave it stock. Thought the "upgraded" truninion would be a good thing?

This is the BTR Trunion after 25,000 miles. Im currently on the Straub bushings.
IMO the trunion is not hard enough for a needle bearing. Mine were Rockwell 45 C scale. Also this was with a single beehive 130 / 370. The worst trunion had a .003 depression in the problem area. Ill report back once I have a lot of miles on the bronze bushings.
