Tvs2300 Maggie 1/4 mile run

Okay fellas. Went to the track on Saturday at san antonio raceway. It takes about 2 hours ballpark to get there but that's the closest track. Did not do so good. Full bolt on L99 with maggie supercharger at 12lbs boost. Weld rts 18x10 rims with new nitto 555r tires. On the way over there i filled up and when i got their i got the p0449 code. I disconnected the battery to see if it would clear but it didnt. Would this affect my cars performance. I had the tires psi at 20 lbs and had good burn outs. Not sure if this could be heat soak or not. Temp was about 90 degrees. What do yall guys think. Could the code be causing this poor performance with the car. Or driver maybe my 60ft. Just looking for some advice. Thanks

Few things, p0059 is an o2 sensor I believe. Did you do any other work to the car recently?

You're 60' sucks. Work on that and you'll see times drop quickly. With all the rain we've had here in SA was the track prepped well? 117 trap speed is low for your setup. You have a ton left in the car

P0449 was the code i had. Evap emissions code. Yeah my 60ft did suck. Kinda figured that. But i thought with the power i had that i would make up for it. From what i was told and from other people running there cars. It was. People were getting goos 60ft mine just wasn't good. Stock converter as well

Take it back to your tuner. Something ain't right. 60' is bad, et is bad, mph is bad. My car with kind of your set up gave me 1.6 60ft, 11.6 @ 116. Better than yours but I wasn't happy at all. Took it back to the shop and found out the fuel pump wasn't cutting it anymore. After that 5&7 cylinder went boom. Your car should be in the 10's easily

Yeah, thats what i was thinking but i wasnt sure. i knew my 60ft wasnt the best but not terrible to say the least. Iv had worst 60 times and my mph were higher than this. I just recently went with the OD cog drive belt so i wouldnt have no belt slip. it was holding at 12psi and not dropping off. When i got it tuned he told me that the fuel pressure was good. I did have the evap emmissions code come on P0449 and thought that might have hurt my cars performance but thats just me taking a wild guess. im not sure though. But i think i am going to have to go back to my tuner just to make sure everything is ok and nothing was overlooked. Pat G is a pretty good tuner, but ill let him know. thanks for the input

Pat G did tune my car. He does great work. I drive about an 1 1/2 hours to get to victoria so that he could tune my car. No problems whatsoever and does a really good job. Thats why i was curious to see if it was the tune or something else.

Give him a call and ask him. That code that you got imo isn't important at all. Instead off dropping the tank to change out the evap solenoid just get Pat to tune it out. Shouldn't have any effect on performance

I spoke with him and he thinks that it might be due to high iat's that pulled alot of power out. I did drive 2 hours to get to the track and let it cool off maybe an hour.

Maybe so. I know my buddy's tt 1le loses power big time on 93 octane. Iat's were getting up to 170ish. Now with e85 he gained about 80whp and iat's to about 130ish. Next up is meth. That's something you should think about doing. I'm already running meth in mine but I don't have a way of knowing my iat's

I have my car completey setup to run nitrous and that was the plan but didnt want to chance it with the check engine light. I have it setup for a 75 shot going thru the rds phenolic spacer and pulling time with the lnc2000 to about 4 degrees. I see alot of people running meth or using E85 now. Iv been looking for ways to cooler my motor better such as a bigger aluminum radiator like CSH or mishimoto or flexalite. Be cool and dewitts are a lil too pricey for me.

1. What was the DA?

2. You cleared the code and it came right back?

3. What's the best you have ever ran?

If i could do it again, i probably wouldnt do it and spend the money else where. Sometimes is just a hassle or maybe because i havnt played with it that much.
