Resonator Delete With Headers? Your Opinion...

I am looking to get SLP Longtube headers with X-Pipe in about 3-4 months... I was wondering if it would sound good with resonator delete? Will it be too loud?

If So I want to cut my resonators now, if not I'll just wait for the headers

Please let me know what you guys think..
Also Has anyone done this?

I would wait for the headers, run that setup for a little bit and see what you think. If you think it is to quiet then cut them off. Everyones definition of LOUD is different.

I have headers with hiflow cats and a muffler delete. I cut the resonators off a few months ago. Its pretty loud even at idle. If you want loud, its the way to go for sure

Can someone give me a quick lesson on where the resonators are usually located? I thought they were part of the muffler...I'm guessing now that they are not. So if you remove the mufflers, the resonators do not go with them?

No....resonators are not in the muffler. Doing a muffler delete does not include removing the resonators. If you do a muffler delete you'll want to leave your resonators or replace it with an x-pipe and/or resonated x-pipe.

Resontator is circled in red. Top picture is on an LS3, bottom is on an L99.
