Opticoat question

Hey everyone, I'm almost ready to take the 1LE out of winter storage and have been looking into getting it profesionally detailed. The car has ony been washed once at the dealer when I picked it up and has never been polished, waxed ect. I've been hearing alot about opticoat and I want to know the pro's and con's(if any). Hopeing some of the professionals on here will chime in and give me their 2 cents.

If you go to http://optimumcarcare.com

You can find a qualified installer that can install opticoat pro. I am not a coating guy, if i were this would be on top of my list. Find a detailer that is able to get the pro version and you should be good to go.

Long island is close to NJ. Go see Phil at Detailers Domain. Youll thank me later.

Reason I'm not gonna advocate a DIY here is that you've never polished the car. That must be done prior to OC application and is a steep investment.

Pros of having it: great protection, durability, low maintenance, really good shine.

Cons: takes the fun out of polishing, glazing, sealing, waxing etc. Labour intensive to remove and depending what kind of shine or depth you're looking for... Can have more eye catching results from other products. But you sacrifice protection and longevity
