Texas Speed AFM-2 AFM/VVT Camshaft Dyno Today!

We're installing the AFM-2 Texas Speed camshaft in the Gray shop car as we speak! I hope to have dyno data from both it & the AFM-3 camshaft this week! The AFM camshafts we've developed are both AFM&VVT friendly! We will be testing all the AFM friendly camshafts, and then we'll do the AFM delete & really get crazy!

Sorry if this has been answered before, but just to clarify.....is the AFM delete the same as taking my L99 and turning it into an LS3??
I am right on the edge of pulling the trigger on what to get for my winter build, so I have been following what you guys have been doing VERY closely.
Can't wait to have my modern day muscle car sound as mean as she looks.

Did you already post results from the VVT (no AFM) L99 camshaft?

No all these camshafts will keep VVT. It's the awesome part of these pacakges. Anyone who removes VVT removes it because they don't understand it or aren't capable of correctly tuning & using it. Our camshafts are engine dyno developed & tested so we can properly design the vvt phaser tunes to ship with our camshafts!

AFM delete is removing the lifters in favor of LS3 style lifters so we can run more aggressive lobes in the camshaft. That usually results in about 12 extra horsepower thanks to the better lobes! These AFM friendly lobes i'm testing now are for the guys that dont want to pull the heads off their l99 & want to keep AFM functioning.

How about a vvt conversion for ls3 cars.

Do you think we might benifit from this at all?

It would absolutely benefit from this. The only bad thing is ls3's dont have a valve relief.

Here's the chassis dyno from the AFM-2 camshaft being installed in my 2010 L99. This is before & after.

This is a .500" lift camshaft that is completely 100% AFM lifter friendly! Just wait for the larger camshafts & the more aggressive lobes when we delete the AFM!

I will be testing the AFM-3 larger AFM friendly camshaft & then we'll go to the VVT only more aggressive lobe camshafts.

Well as far as the conversion goes, has it been done before? is it possible at all?

Also are there any piston options that possibly keep the same or more compression, and open up area around the valve?

Something domed?

Is this dyno just from a cam swap on an otherwise stock car? Or does this include supporting mods like headers and the like?
