The first (red) one looks to have been vandalized. Not necessarily involved in a traffic accident.

Someone got pissed and hit it several times with a sledge hammer. mad wife? the way the metal is creased on the C pillar, that took several direct hits. Or they were sliding sideways and hit the corner of a semi trailer.

The red one looks like someone was playing games and slid into something just above the belt line. I once blew out a rear window on a 3rd gen doing the same thing. Was easily fixable.
