Future NPP Replacement Question

Happy new year everyone!

I am looking for somethings to learn about and thought it may be fun to ask this question here and start some 2024 activity up

Inevitably one day on my car I am going to need to replace the muffler which is the NPP.

What does one do in this situation considering:
1) The dual-mode valves which looks to be welded to the muffler (to my unexperienced eye)
2) I want to keep the look and sound considering the wider quad-tip cutouts in the diffuser
3) as I read, but have not confirmed, that the factory NPP kit is no longer being sold.

Is this a case of bring it to a muffler shop and have them repair cut and weld as required?

Here is a set about 50 miles away from you just over the border @ the Rainbow Bridge in Tonawanda NY. If this looks like an option, put in a low offer & see what they counter offer. I have bought a lot of parts from them.

Parts for these cars are getting pretty scarce. If you a worried about it, you probably want to think about building up a stash. On the bright side, if a part is common enough, the after market will come up with a replacement unit. There are a bunch of cars with NPP mufflers, not just the Camaro, so somebody will likely make one. Another option is a complete muffler delete
