Dash Squeaking... Help! (Update)
Since last summer, the dash in mine squeeks like an old bed when turning or going over even the slightest bumps.
People have talked about a solution using felt pads at the problem area, but no one has posted pictures where this is. Someone please post pictures of this solution and step-by-step instructions. The dealership doesn't want to tear into it for fear of making the problem worse. ***UPDATE*** After much searching, driving around, and testing... the squeaking dash(noise) problem has been found AND corrected. The squeaking wasn't coming from the dash at all. It was coming from the removable top where the gaskets rub together. A little silicone gasket lubricant took care of it. I wish this could have been solved 10 months ago.

It might be a challenge, as there are many places a squeak can originate. It is usually the retaining clips at fault, by being a little loose in their sockets. You first need to determine where the squeak comes from, then remove trim panels as needed until you can access the culprit. The best solution is then to use a small screw driver or needle nose pliers to gently bend the clip's tabs out a little bit. This allows the clip to more tightly seat in its socket. Felt will just eventually wear, and the squeak will likely return. Once the clip has been adjusted, reinstall the trim panels in reverse order. I would also adjust any other clips that appear likely to cause squeaks while I was at it. If needed, I can take a couple of sample clip photos tonight after work for you.

I finally isolated a high pitched rattle that manifested on high road noise pavements. It was the rear roof latch. Ironically, it's one of the two parts carried over from the C6 series.
The fix: place the roof on your sofa, rear latch side up exposing the two star screws. Unscrew, then pull the cover outward at about a 45degree angle to release from the two clips. Stuff the negative space with cloth, plastic bagging or foam sponge. I used portions of a plastic shopping bag on each side of the latch mechanism as a temporary fix. Reinstall the cover stuffing plastic that wants to come out under compression. The temporary fix is now permanent with no rattle. New use for plastic bags!!!
