The ride home from the dealer was a mix of Expressway and Rural roads. I had it on Touring and the ride was acceptable - my daily driver is a 2018 Wrangler Rubicon so put my comments on ride in perspective. I am accustomed to a “firm” ride lol. It’s the principle of the issue that is annoying regarding installing the correct color seat belts. I have taken my GM cars to local dealerships for service for years. Ask them for some assistance and they don’t appreciate previous business.

Agreed, thats an error I'd be happy with. The red ones look cheesy to me, if I could have a plain black interior with no red and no suede I'd be a happy camper

My 2018 ZL1 has red stitching on the seats, and the red belts look awesome.
Haven’t checked out the 2019’s but if they have the same red stitching, get your belts changed. I think they look great.
Bottom line, don’t settle, get what you want

I’d push for the local dealer to do the seat belt swap. It really shouldn’t be your problem. I don’t know how long it takes to do the swap, but 8 hours of driving and waiting half a day at the dealership, or even more if it doesn’t get completed in a day.

No, I got black. But I got gloss rockers that should have been Satin like the diffuser and splitter on the 1LEs.

They are really screwing up over there at the plant. Maybe someone will "accidentely" get an LT5 in theirs.

Can I have the black belts when you're done? I haven't picked my Shadow Gray Metallic ZL1 up yet (and won't assume it's messed up in the same way) but I'm hating all the red in there. At least I can replace the belts. I'll cover shipping.

Personally, Id leave the belts alone and just save the red ones. More importantly, please post pix of the car. One of my local dealers has one but I haven't take the hour drive to see it yet and I'm dying to see Satin Steel on a ZL1 1LE. Congrats on the new ride!

Hmm I’ve not researched how big of a job it is yet, but I probably wouldn’t make that drive for the selling dealer, and like mentioned earlier, wouldn’t let the ones forced into it touch my car.

I’d like to have the black ones actually, may have to look into it.

Chevrolet is trying to wear me out. Customer Service now saying they need district manager approval to fix their factory mistake. What B.S. My selling dealer has escalated to the Southeast Region District Manager. All the selling dealer wants is the red belts so they can swap them. I have given up trying to use closer dealers to my home as they are not helpful at all. Chevrolet Customer Service is a monumental waste of time. Man, once GM has your money, they just don’t care.

GM will give you the run around until the cows come home! Been there done that. Best thing you can do is get a set of those seatbelt covers in red:

Thanks! May be an alternative. Where does one buy those covers?
