A Carscoops reader and GM insider who wishes to remain anonymous, got his hands on a pilot brochure for the base 2014 Camaro V6 model, in which we see that Chevrolet has applied the new and slimmer looking front grille and headlamps as with the rest of the range, but opted for a different tail light assembly.

The latter should not come to as much of a surprise as the 2014 Camaro SS and Camaro Z/28 also feature different tail lamp clusters (see photos below), with the SS featuring wraparound LED fixtures and the Z/28, regular light clusters with the reverse lights positioned in the center. Clearly, the 2014 Camaro V6's rear lights fuse the design of the new SS' one-piece LED units and the outgoing model's two-piece lamps. That's not the only change for the V6 as according to the preliminary brochure, GM has also boosted the output of the 3.6-liter direct-injection engine from 323-horses to 354 horses, with the coupe completing the 0-60mph (96km/h) in 6.2 seconds, and averaging 34mpg on the highway

This was posted on 4/1, not sure this is real. Plus 354HP should do 0-60 a lot faster than 6.2 seconds. Not even sure where they'd pick up 31 HP.

I suppose it's getting the 2010-2012 radio too (according to the brochure).

Wow if this is true. Just means that the LFX with 323 HP can be tuned to 354HP. The tail lamps are a hit with me. Why does the SS get punished.

Very bad photoshop job. You think GM would use that awful font? Also those are the euro tail lamps and require a different rear fascia...

A couple of online magazines posted this but they removed it when they realized they made themselves look like jackwagons, as it was just a photoshop joke.

If so it's another from me. Nice to get more power but I am still happy with my options to add my own headers & other mods to mine. Just IMHO.
