You want me to pay $4k more than the regular vert for a hard top? That makes a hardtop vert a $10k option?

Oh hell no.

Sounds like you need to move. I'm pretty sure someone that got caught doing that around here would be shot. I remember a news story from a few years ago, woman is warming up her minivan, guy starts to steal it, she comes out with a shotgun, he gets out of the van and says "ha, you aren't going to shoot me". She blew his knee off. Cops were trying not to laugh.

The XLR and G6 hardtops I have driven were actually fine. Problem is GM tried to get away with two panel simplistic designs. Took too much trunk space.

The GM products I had time with were fine. Not saying any mechanism, hard top or soft, isn't adding to the possibility for BSR issues.

A hard top convertible Camaro would easily add $10k to the coupe.

So no, OP, it wouldn't sell like hot cakes. It would likely sell even less as it would just be a $55,000 plus Camaro 2SS Convertible. Pushing $80,000 for a ZL1. I'd drool all over it. But I wouldn't pay that much.

I like the soft top and would not want the hardtop vert. The soft top is high quality, quiet and great looking.

Bet it would sell more than a 2019 Camaro though 😂

I had a Lexus IS 300 C hard top convertible. That car squeaked and creaked constantly. The dealer never could get rid of the rattles. It became my first and last Lexus. What a contrast with the 2018 SS Vert I drive now. That car is amazingly quiet and a joy to drive.

I miss my 2011 vert. She was beautiful. Had to cut my losses after replacing the top...a second time due to bad engineering. I wonder if the engineers @ GM finally fixed that issue on the 6th gen?

I would rather see them add a targa system like Corvette has. That IMO would be bad ass

OK, stupid question time.....

If it's a hard convertible top, How many people does it take to lift it off, and where do you put it when it's not on??

You're thinking removable hardtop. Most (all?) modern hardtop verts fold up and tuck into the trunk just like fabric top verts.

But won't that suck up even more trunk space when it's down than a cloth top?
