Pep boys problems

So I went to my local Pep Boys to get front brake pads and rear brake pads for the car. And the front brakes kept coming up as zl1 brake pads. My question is do the zl1 and the SS share the same size of front calipers and pads? Or was the guy at pepboys a dummy. Thanks.

Your first Mistake was going to pep boys. Your second mistake was listening to anything they had to say.

The second you bought a performance car is the same second where you stop going to generic auto parts places for replacement parts. Either OEM GM parts, better aftermarket versions, or bust

Should have ordered them online or at least have a part number for them to use. If you give parts store people free range to find parts you'll end up with a Honda radiator for a 2000 camaro that won't fit on your lawnmower since you went in asking for the best smelling air freshener.

To answer your question, no. Different calipers, different rotors, and different pads on the front. The rears I believe are the same.

Look in the suspension, brakes, chassis subforum (I think that's correct) and do some reading. There are several threads discussing brakes and pads.

There wasn't even a ZL1 in the year 2010, and they are not the same. ZL1 pads are quite a bit bigger than SS pads in the front.

This right here!

Front rotors and pads are different from the ZL1 and SS but the Rear rotors and pads are the same.

If you need rotors or pads, PM or Call me!

I'll get you taken care of!

Also, the ZL1 came out in 2012 so its weird that it came up in their system when they put in 2010 Camaro SS.

Thanks

JT

Lol brake pads are brake pads fellas. Thanks for the responses im glad 2 of u actually tried being helpful. Its hilarious that 90% of the comments didn't answer the question it was just people talking sh*t. This is why this forum has such a bad rap and (as you can see) ive hardly ever used it since i joined in 2010. For those who helped me thank you!
