The suspension on the SS is only better if you get the MRC. Both the LT1 and SS have the FE3 suspension standard. Sorry if that is what you meant.

Try a 2SS with the copper big brakes, 1LE suspension upgrade with magnetic ride, performance exhaust and manual (?) trans and you’ll have a great handling car with all the amenities for the low $50s. I strongly considered the LT1, because I always liked the Road Runner style of cars - big engine in a stripped body and few comfort extras - but I’m kind of tired of getting beaten up by that type of car, so the 2SS seems like the perfect combination of performance and comfort.

This 6th Gen blind spots are worse than my 5th Gen lol so I definitely had to go 2SS with the extra features especially the blind spot monitoring. 2SS with NPP was a must. Added Nav and sunroof just for some extras

Sorry if that is what you meant.[/QUOTE] I had the MRC on my 5th gen Camaro ZL1, but didn't had it and neither need it nor missed it on my C7 Corvette Z51 nor on my 6th gen Camaro SS and I did track my C7 Z51

If I were buying a Camaro today it would be the ZL1 1LE. If I couldn’t afford it, I would buy a 1SS 1LE. If that was out of reach I would buy a 1SS. If I couldn’t afford any of those I would buy a LT1

As mentioned before I am fine with my LT1 I got it at a really great deal before Covid that made it worth it. That being said looking at the prices of Camaros today I would probably go with the 1SS. I would not get the deal I got before Covid for an LT1 to where I can get another set of tires and wheels and still be decently under the 1SS price. I am really happy with my LT1 though it handles great peforms great with no complaints best thing to do is test drive them if you can OP because in the end it will be your car not ours.

FWIW, I bought a brand new 2SS M6 vert fully loaded in 2016. Paid it off, sold it, and immediately regretted it.
I just bought a '23 LT1 with Recaros, MPP and Bose. Still the same motor, same tranny, same body. (I could afford probably up to a ZL1, but don't need all the extra testerone) I will likely just change the tires and be happy (for about $10k msrp less than a 2SS). My Model 3P is still faster than the LT1, but I don't care. I love the feel/sound/smell of the V-8, drop top, M6. Everyone has different priorities; figure out what you need and enjoy. |

The LT-1 is a great option, no doubt. Had a 2023 LT-1 Vert , 6spd, DM, Recaros on order which, unfortunately, wasn't accepted. I would've been very happy with it.
Just the other day, the wife and I were out in her CRV which has all the annoying, but necessary nanny controls. I left a toll gate and some fool tried to pass me on the right. The side lane departure saved my bacon. So, yesterday we re-ordered a 24 and went with a 2SS Vert , 6spd, Dual Mode. The extra dough was a choke, but at this stage of life we felt the side lane alert was necessity. |

I traded in my 19 civic type R in for a 22 LT1
to me the LT1 handles just fine on the curvy roads and great power since i dont track my cars i didnt need the ss with the magnetic ride and for the interior the digital dash would have been nice but there is a company that makes them for the LT1 so i will upgrade it at some point and tires and wheels i never keep stock wheels so be going wider wheels and summer tires also |
